Stand with Liam and Defend Free Speech
Censored by School Officials
At a school that celebrated “Pride Week,” and urged students to wear rainbow colors, one young man decided to exercise his right to free speech, take a stand, and make his voice heard.
As a 12-year-old student, Liam Morrison wore a shirt stating, “There are only two genders” and school officials punished him for it.
Students don’t forfeit their free speech when they walk into school. It’s not just about a shirt—it’s about government officials telling a student he can’t state the truth.
That’s not freedom.
A School’s Illegal Actions
All students have the constitutional right to exercise their free speech without having to fear punishment by school officials. They can’t be forced out of the schoolhouse for exercising their rights.
Alliance Defending Freedom and the Massachusetts Family Institute sued the Town of Middleborough and school officials in federal court on Liam’s behalf.
Now, we are defending his rights in court and have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to hear his case.
Will you stand with Liam and his right to free speech?
